Information Gathering and Design Phase

During this initial conversation one of the Genstor Technical Engineers will gather information about your project. This will involve questions about your needs including:

• Application
• Custom OS
• Custom chassis requirements
• EOL cycle
• Other details

We will cover the details of your project, such as:

• The application you are developing
• OS and software compatibility
• Other challenges the project may encounter

You will have a dedicated Project Manager who will be working with you throughout the entire development and production process.This stage will cover:

• All the certifications like UL, CE, FCC, etc. you may need for your platform.
• Initial hardware platform proposal along with a budgetary price quote for your approval, depending upon your custom needs like - front I/O, number of add on, etc.

After we understand your needs and intended application, we can provide you a base platform, without any customization, to make sure that the hardware platform is fully functional and compatible for your appliance needs. Once approved, we will move to incorporate your custom design needs into the platform and get you a firm price quote for your approval.

Prototyping Phase

As soon as you approve the platform, price, and your custom needs we will move ahead to build you a prototype system. The time frame for this can vary according to the level of customization involved for your project.

After the prototype is ready, it will be thoroughly tested:

• Thermals
• Burnin
• Software and hardware testing

After the testing is complete, the appliance is made available to you for your approval. In this stage we will also explore your branding needs and incorporate customizations like silk screening your logo. We will make sure that this prototype meetsyour expectations.After your review we will be ready to incorporate the changes suggested by you. With approval we will move on to the First Article step.

First Article, Process Documentation and Mass Production

The First Article is the first appliance built incorporating your final design. At this stage your project manager will see that your First Article meets your exact specifications. Your appliance will be documented during this process and will detail:

• Manufacturing process
• Appliance details, including any changes made during your appliance’s life cycle
• Usage guides
• Quality checklists, including burnin documentation
• Any additional changes

After receiving approval, we will be ready for mass production of your appliance
